Dear Colin,
Help!!
We now have 20,000 flyers printed for our Countryside Day on 15th April 2012. And we need to effectively circulate them. If you can, please help us distribute these to your friends, in your local pub, garage, tackle shop or wherever you feel appropriate.
All you need to do is reply to this email, with your name address and how many you would like and we will send them to you along with a fish credit as a small token of thanks.
On the Lakes.
Lures are still catching well, however the fish are up at mid-water now and they have been taking the flies on the drop.
If your avoiding the lures, try a buzzer; if you're new to the sport, try a sight indicator. This will let you determine the depth you are fishing at and allow you to quickly respond as soon as you get a take.
There will be some disturbance on the water tomorrow and Thursday as we are clearing some silt out of Whitewool Lake.
Fishing Tip
It's more like Shooting than Fishing.....
We're talking about targeting a fish.
Sometimes in clear water, you see a monster fish that is close enough to have your name on it.
You want to catch this fish,
You need to catch this fish -
But how do you do that without scaring it off to the other side of the lake.
It's all in the hand - Delicate, Delicate, Delicate.
Firstly swing your rod around, moving ahead of the fish, in the direction it is swimming.
Secondly - Lift the line gently off the water and then shoot the line forward, giving the fly plenty of lead to allow the fly to get to it's depth and land gently in the unsuspecting trout's mouth...
Then - (Pull the trigger) STRIKE... and retrieve your quarry.
