Re: Foremark 2012
Rod numbers at Foremark for 2011 only dropped by around 300 & thats with me taking on Draycote, it would seem the majority of rods who we picked up from Draycote when it closed stayed with Foremark.
Smaller average size, than 2010 then yes but its no secret I have told the customers why prices went up & to keep the same volume of fish going through we reduced the average size from 2lb+ to 1lb14oz with a good number of 3lb+ fish going through.
Dismissing a fishery cant occur, they are a business, but as a business we need to run them to what we beleive the customer wants / and is prepared to pay. Yes I can stock more 3lb+ fish but would the customers be prepared to pay.
We firmly as did the near 7000 rods who fished Foremark last year beleive it offers good value for money. A full day motor boat for two rods £20.50 find a midland reservoir that matches that price.
Last year & the year before Foremark was amongst the top averaging fisheries in the midlands, Rod average 2010 was 4.6 last year just over 4 that consistant, and a better rod average than Draycote.
With a new long lease I can push ahead with improving the facilities, boats will start to be replaced from 2013, with over £10,000 been spent upgrading the pontoon this year.
