Draycote will open for the 2012 season on Thursday 8th March 2012

We will be back in the building for 2012 with the gutting room & toilets also available for use once again. We will also have a fully stocked tackle shop up & running for the opening.

Bank Fishing available from 7.30am with Boats available from 8.30am

Bank anglers will be able to drive around the perimeter road, but this will be restricted to 30 cars at any one time, we will operate the same system as last year which worked well, you call the lodge & book one of the 30 available bank car passes. The available bank fishing will be the same as last year, Toft Shallow, Cornfield, Biggin Bay, Dunns Bay up to the start of the dam wall of the Draycote Bank. Rainbow Corner will also be available.

We have increased the fish limits on some of our permits increasing the 3 fish permit to a 4 fish & the 6 fish permit has increased to 8 fish.

We aim to stock with a minimum of 2lb trout at Draycote for 2012

Ifor our boats are booked for the 4th june for 4 days cant wait to return after last years visit fishing was out of this world and that was with a big wind for 3 of our days,great to hear that the building will be ready for anglers ,see you and Craig in june

Just wondering if Draycote has a website. I've looked in the past & just looked again. Am I missing something, or have they just not got round to it?

New website been built for Draycote, Foremark & Thornton will include an online shop as well.

Should be up & running Late March early April.

Bank anglers, same setup as last year 30 cars allowed around the reservoir perimeter track at any one time.

You can & its advised to call the lodge & book one of the 30 car passes for access to the road around the reservoir.

To clear up any confusion.

The official opening day is Thursday 8th March

We have on Wednesday 7th invited paid up members of Draycote Fly Fishers along, they have had to put up with a lot & I felt it only right for them to enjoy their local water & being back in the lodge, I am also on the day having a few members of the press,

Stocking continues with the last pre-season stocking not going in until Wednesday 7th.

It will be fully stocked ready for the 8th March

I hope that clears up any missunderstandings.
