Thumbs up Rosslynlee 3rd May

I fished Rosslynlee yesterday for the first time this year.Pleased to say the standards at this fishery have not dropped since my last visit.Excellent quality of fish, with a good average size and strong fighting fish.A gusty se wind made life a little tough in the morning for us.Nothing was happening with buzzers or nymphs which is surprising for here.Switched to a small mini cat on floating line and picked up first fish of the day soon after(this cat can be seen in flytying section under new fritz from Big Reel).Spent the morning changing flies and working my way round the fishery.By lunchtime i had managed to get 7 fish and my mate had caught his 3 fish limit. These had all come to various lures such as Dancer,Damsel and Cat variants. After lunch the wind had dropped a little and the fish started to come on a little. Most of mine came to Cats Whisker or a Reverse Bug under the bung.I was lucky enough to catch a real beauty of a fish around the 10 lb mark, which put up a cracking fight. My mate had some fish on a size 20 Floating Beetle and he also took a few on Reverse Bug.Suspender buzzers were getting a few offers but we never landed any on them.We ended up with 21 fish for myself and 9 for my mate.Rosslynlee is a great fishery located just outside of Edinburgh, near to the Roslyn Chapel featured in The Da Vinci Code.Well worth a visit!! Andy

Here`s the link Andy http://www.mallenyangling.co.uk/index.shtml
it`s just over the other side of the Pentlands fron Loganlea.

For £10.00 you get a whole days fishing with a 6 fish bag limit, stocked with Rainbows and Brown.
The ticket also allows you to fish Threipmuir for Brown trout, but it`s twice the size of Harlaw.

I like it because it`s more of a natural kind of water, plenty of room without bothering other anglers, loads of room to wander, plus the setting is stunning.

Cheers for that Scott, looks a fine water.Your blessed with some quality waters over there!!That`s another one to add to the list of places to try. Think i`ll need to ask my boss to make it a 4 day working week!!Need more days off to get all the fishing in. Andy
