Default Walkerwood Fishery access road

Work is due to start on the lane up to Walkerwood which has been badly potholed.
Pete Ross, fishery manager says it should be completed for the beginning of February so it will be less hazardous for visitors to the fishery.
Pete can be contacted for further information, phone number on Walkerwood website.

Have you checked the prices at other fisheries in the area? Four hours sporting for a senior citizen works out at £8. I would say that is very fair.
The only comparable rate I know of locally is Westlow Mere which is £8 for the day, but some people only want to fish four hours. You can fish Walkerwood for two hours for £4 (concessionary) if you want or £5 standard rate.
Most other fisheries are far more expensive for a half day sporting ticket, and some don't offer a sporting ticket so you have to pay for fish you may not want.
