Default Pitsford 25.04

I fished Pitsford last Friday, starting on the bank which looked perfect, big buzzers in numbers and a good breeze from the south west.I had a 3 1/2lb fish within minutes, on a team of buzzers fished round the bend, then no more takes until I moved further up Sermans, where I hooked another nice fish. Then things went dead, and after chatting with rods at the Gravels, who experienced the same, decided to have a half day boat as we could see the boats were taking fish.(incidentally the lodge were unaware that season ticket holders can have a half day boat from twelve o'clock, until I showed them their in house magazine 'Hooked')
We motored over to Stilton/Duffers and proceeded to catch stockies on static buzzers. There were some smallish fish (1lb) and lots of brownies. The boats were all anchored from us up to the Gorse, and all were catching. My guess is that these fish will have been hammered by Thursday and will have moved up the bank, but there are fish everywhere- I saw some crackers off Sermans.I even saw a big rainbow fry feeding on last year's fry, I've never seen that this time of year.
Good luck,

Gads
