Does that include the use of their electric engines or is that extra?

Try
Monikie £30.00 per 2 man boat for clubs and 10 fish boat limit.
Linlithgow £46.00 per 2 man boat and 12 fish boat limit.
Menteith £58.00 per 2 man boat and 10 fish limit.
Leven £47.00 for 2/3 man boat and catch all you can.
and prices for Raith Lake, Lochore, Frandy, Rescobie and Lintrathen are in between Monikie and Menteith.
Is Butterstone consistently that much better than any of these???

The last time I was there the quality of the fish was poor. If you look on their website there is a guy holding up a largish brownie with hardly any tail. Certainly not the kind of image that I would want advertising my fishery.

My club and numerous others I have spoken to have not booked any outings on Butterstone because of the prices and the poor quality of the fish caught previously.

Perhaps there have been massive improvements which I would expect given the price rises.

Guys, just to bring your attention to a reply from David Hendry to the last post thread, David has explained his case and answered points raised - Its my opinion that he should be given a chance to prove if his proposed structure and management changes can fulfill our requirements for amenities and quality, I am sure that the reports throughout the coming season will confirm if the fishery is performing to Davids expectations and of course our expectations. % wise, the price increase is in line with other fisheries, Butterstone may be a bit more pricey than others, so lets hope that this is reflected in the quality of the fishing during the coming season.

D.H - Dec 2011 "I thought I would make a contribution to the thread by saying thank you for the many positive comments about Butterstone Loch.
Since Cardney Estate acquired Butterstone Loch in June 2010 there has been a major investment into boats and premises for the benefit of the loch’s customers with a view to dramatically increasing our customers fishing experience.
It has been brought to our attention that there is a new thread running on the forum containing some malicious rumours for which we would like to put the record straight:
1. Regarding 2012 boat prices, the rumour is that Butterstone is increasing the price of a boat to £80, this is completely untrue. We are awaiting the arrival of our new manager Craig Brown to agree the new pricing structure with him however it is highly unlikely that prices will increase by more than a couple of pounds and some may actually decrease.
2. Never at any time did we say we would be stocking fish from 3lb but in fact what we did say that we would aim our main stocking programme at fish from 1.5lb - 3lb with many fish larger than that going in where in fact many fish from 8lb – 24.5lb were caught.
3. Eddy Buchan was dismissed for gross misconduct which may have brought the loch in to disrepute. George Donaldson when questioned regarding financial irregularities done a moonlight flit and after investigations by Tayside Police is now facing a number of charges.

There has been a new team appointed at the Loch who are more professional and have proven track records on countryside sports, honesty and integrity. While this year broke all fishing records at Butterstone Loch we aim to improve on this during the 2012 fishing season. We are currently over wintering a large number of fish that were stocked in November and we will repeat this years stocking programme at the beginning and throughout the season.

The team at Butterstone Loch wish you all a Happy New Year. We look forward to seeing you next season."
