No one been up recently?

Interesting article in the courier about the amount of tree felling round the loch. Hope it hasn't spoilt the look of the place.

Default lintrathen

hi mate

in my experience, lintrathen is a good water, would be better if there was not as much bloody perch good fish are been caught on gold humungus and pink blobs. if you are into lures that is!!!.

Think you'll find that National pre lims are being held there in the near future, so don't expect any info.

Ended up having a great day on Saturday. Weather was awful when we arrived so just started down at the rhoddies for some shelter. Only managed one there with no other offers so decided to go round to the back of the island. Different world round there with the whole bay teaming with fish. I got mine on a gold/black humungous and a gold sparkler but t didn't seem to matter what flies as other caught on everything from bibios to dawsons olives. All the boats that were round there bagged up by early afternoon when the weather changed and the sun came out. Unfortunately the rest of our guys just arrived in the bay but never touched a fish for the rest of the afternoon. Don't know if it was just the pressure of the fishing in the morning or the sun that switched them off.

As usual with this game, a great day if you were in the right place at the right time.

We drove right past the carpark, which is now in a large clearing with no trees at all
Round the loch it wasn't quite as drastic but it certainly made a difference. We started down at the rhoddies but the wind was turning us in all sorts of directions. Still enough trees to get some protection, but it was hard to get a steady drift.
Must admit I didn't notice too much difference round the bay behind the island, but that's probably because we were getting fish
