Default Gludy lake

Ive had a quick search and there are no new threads/posts that I can find on Gludy.

So has anyone fished it in 2011 or even 2012?

We are looking at booking the lake for the whole day and wondering on recent feedback (Although they have not responded to my inquiry as of yet)

Always some good quality fish in there Mike although haven't been for a couple of seasons let all this wet weaather clear before going down there as it may well be coloured at the moment as there is a good stream running into it!

Be guided by the weather- 6 of us had a day there in August and the trout just didn't want to play, I suspect the oxygen levels were low and water temperature too high. We had few trout, but loads of roach and perch on nymphs and small boobies fishing the washing line. The fishery did warn us it wouldn't be easy to be fair to them.
Best of luck finding the place- directions are a bit hit and miss!

Mike,

I have been there twice in 2011. June and November (i think).
They have had a tough summer in 2011 with little rainfall etc.... so the water quality did suffer. But November was great fishing. You would be lucky to get a slot in May, the book up quickly for that time of year.
I always e-mail laura (laura@gludy.co.uk) and normally get a quick and helpful response.

Thanks Stu - I've been speaking to Laura and I am sorted
