Default White Loch, Stewarton

Does anyone know if there is still fishing at the White Loch? Used to be Stewarton Angling Club that had rights to it when I fished it many years ago but can't seem to find anywhere selling permits anymore?

Also any good recommendations in the same kind of area for a decent brown trout loch? Seems everywhere has turned into a commercial rainbow fishery and that's not really what I'm after.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't know the White Loch but Corsehouse used to be brown trout only. Thinks its an Eaglesham Angling Club water. Is anyone here an EAC member? Do they do day tickets?

Default White Loch

White Loch is definately still Stewarton AC - I was speaking to the guy in Tackle and Guns in Shawlands about it last week. I can't remember the price of a day ticket, think £10, but it's definitely £55 for the season plus a £5 joining fee - you can get the tickets from the shop in Shawlands.

Commore near neilston will open in 2009 as a browns only club water. It will be membership/syndicate set up managed by myself. Commore has great history as a brownie water.

Default Eaglesham AA

Hi, phone George Knight on 01355-302931 for details of membership availability, joining fees and annual subs. 3 waters available, Picketlaw, Loch Goin and Corsehouse, all Brownie's only, stocked and wild. Day tickets avail. from the P.O. and the Spar shop in Eaglesham, think they are £15?
Just had a VERY cold morning on Corsehouse, but well worth the discomfort, 3 stockies and 3 others which I will call "naturalised" [ butter yellow and bronze, spade-tailed stunners ] although they could be wildies? All were over 2lb. and the best would have made 3lb. All returned safely. The big one had a cormorants calling card on it's flank as big as a 2p. but still put up a helluva fight. Hope this is of help to you.
Cheers,
MT
