Does anyone know a pike fishery (apart from the canals) where i could catch pike on the fly?

Don't know what your location is but Esthwaite water near Hawkshead (south lake district) is an excellent place . Give Dave Coleman a ring and he'll sort you out.

Didnt stocks used to be a coarse fishery ?

I bet there are some lunkers in there.

Whats up with Canals ?- fantastic Pike habitat, it is my preferred fishing venue !

Sorry nelson66, to my knowledge Stocks has only stocked trout, wild brownies from the hodder and the mountain minnow (there are boatloads of these).

To my knowledge it has never been a coarse fishery as it is a man made reservoir created by flooding the village of Dalhead in the 60 /70's.

Not a lot of point "snapper trapping" on Stocks IMHO.
