Westlow is a nice fishery, and I usually fish it a couple of times a year.

It has a really friendly atmosphere as it's run by a club.

Not sure if a sum of all the fish caught means very much

The fishery is always worth a visit, in fact I'd probably be a member if I lived closer!

Welcome to the forum, I was only asking the other week if any one had fished Westlow, I have not fished it for a couple of years I will have to give it another go soon.

Steve.

agreed, a very under rated water, its a bit of mystery as to why its not more popular given how close it is to the M6, still I guess the regulars aren't going to shout too loud about how good it is just in case it becomes popular

Excellent water spring fed! crystal clear.
As moustique says Great bunch of guys if i was little closer I would be a member if they would have me
I fished Just before christmas they had a club comp on for departed friends they still let me fish and gave me a warm welcome. As a small still water they are one of the best.
Its a nice bank size fishery not shooting fish in a barrel so good sport all round.Click the image to open in full size.

Default Westlow Mere

Had the afternoon/evening at Westlow Mere yesterday and really enjoyed it. Caught 4 lovely hard fighting rainbows, lost a couple, missed a couple. Small ptn's and Olive Shipmans doing the business. The best spell in absolute torrential rain. if there's a better water at better value than this i've yet to find it, full day sport ticket £11?

Big thumbs up to the guys who run the place...Congelton Anglers I think.
