Hello Keeno

fished there two weeks back. the fishing has been marvellous there recently; mainly in Rooks lake i think it was (the medium lake at the back of the car park)

The steep bank section closer to the road close in with a sinking line and short leader with a black and green nymph booby fished VERY slowly. Humungus on medium to slow strips, white fritz lures and hares ears on the breeze.

A fantatsic fishery and hope you enjoy it!

Ben

Hi I fished chigboro last sunday (16th i think) was grim weather driving rain and wind that blew the line from behind you before the rod had come back forward. Just the kind of weather i love as that means the banks will be clear and i can choose my spot to suit me. Bought a 2 fish ticket for Bean Mear the specimen pond and fishing with 9' 5wt with floating line and 10' leader with green montana and humungus caught my bag in about 50mins a 5lb and 4lb rainbow however lost another cracker due to basic stupidy with the line looping on the reel handle then went to carry on fishing on the rook pond (catch and release) same set up and caught a further 12, had a chat with the bailiff and asked if we may fish the priory pool catch and release (not normally alowed i think) he agreed as there was so few people there and caught a further 2 on there all the other fish were between 1 and 3lb all caught on either buzzers or montana's need less to say for the first 2008 trip it was exceptional and chigboro seldom fails to provide decent fish in pleasant suroundings.
