Hello, I am new to Edinburgh and I am itching to get out and fish. I was wondering what fisheries are open year-round near Edinburgh? Thanks!

the markle. tweeddale. a wee hike mind. but big troot. morton is getting good reviews at the moment.

for bank angling, you could also try Allandale Tarn, Selmmuir Fishery or Morton Fishery(Boat also) to the west of Edinburgh. To the east/south Markle Fisheries, nr East Linton is always worth a go at any tme of year.

All these are within 1/2 hour of Edinburgh

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I went to Rosslynlee today. I got there a bit late but I managed to pull a trout in. Lot's of rising which was exciting. Next time I'll be sure to get there early so I can get some more time to fish.

I looked into Markle and they look great. I will head out there the next time I get a chance.
