Farther and son catch 26 trout between them last weekend at Gailey trout fishery, on Saturday, 14 year old Ashley Davies caught 9 rainbows and blue trout up to 3Lbs on a white and yellow gold head off the platforms on the A5 bank, while Peter Davies caught 17 fish on Sunday. Black buzzers fished on a long leader and almost static did the business for dad on the lodge bank.
Wayne Nunn from Bloxwich also reached double figures on a mixture of Buzzer patens, Season ticket holders John Cox also joined in the action bagging up on black buzzers. Damsel nymphs are also accounting for good catches.

Gailey Open Day.

Over 100 trout fishermen from all over the Midlands, visited Gailey last Saturday for the fisheries “Open Day”. New season fly rods from Sage, Greys, Vision and Reddington where available to try out. The casting clinic was a great success with both experienced and novice anglers. First time fly fishermen had the opportunity to sample fishing with a special 2 hour ticket which included tackle hire for just a fiver.
