Thumbs up Several doubles coming off at Tweeddale

Since the start of November 2011 there has been several good doubles coming off at tweeddale millennium. Chick telfer from Gorebridge in midlothian caught his biggest ever rainbow, 18lbs 4oz taken on a RED CATS with chain bead eys.
There has not been any set pattern and when the weather has been warmer fish have been taking in numbers on the top of the water. If cooler, apps bloodworm, damsel, diawl bach, buzzers varioys have taken fish in good numbers
The bait fishing pool has also done well and a few doubles came off during the open on 6th nov 2011. Names are now being taken for our christmas bait fishing OPEN to be held on 4th dec 2011 £30 entry NO BAG LIMIT GREAT PRIZES
We are now taking bookings for the 2012 season tele 01620810009

I can vouch for alls been said, just off the phone to TWEEDALE came off the w.ater at 3.30 ystrday but the fella was away to WATCH for somethin and the clubhouse was locked up. My uncle and i had 5 fish on kill tickets for 15lbs but couldnt record them so let them know this morning. Told the guy that they are the hardest fighting fish ive ever came across, only ALDERNEUK near DUMFRIES comes close. I had a 6lber picture perfect that i got a buzzer, daddy longlegs and half a fly from its cheek and ofcourse myZONKER. As i said the power is amazing and as i said to my old unc on the way up, its a long way from DUMFRIESSHIRE but youll be impressed. Had 6 each and broken twice, lost a couple too. Very bright and sunny and cold at the same time. njoyd it tho. If you want a coily line straightened ,get your self up there. I seen the two sides of angling ystrday one that please me and one that saddens my heart. Early on 2 guys were into fish in a corner and ther was no room for another when a desperado flew past me and parked himselff in between them They never said owt and he seemed to think he was invisible. I said to him thats just not right but he still parked himself there . The flip is i met a wee fella about 10 throwing a lovely line into the wind , gr8 attitude , fished every inch in front of him and started hitting fish. So pleasant and one for the future the future . Thank god for the wee guy , restored my faith after DESPERATE DANS actions. I saw a few others like that ystrday and was gettin to me a bit Anyway enuff gripes, get yourself up to TWEEDALE[COLOR="Silver"]

Thumbs up Re: Several doubles coming off at Tweeddale

A big thanks to the lads from Irvine and Clydebank for making the long trip to fish at Tweeddale Millennium, it says a lot for them supporting fisheries so far away. Scott my manager advised me that it was a bit hard going over the weekend, but im pleased you still managed to get one or two fish. Bill Taylor:

Hi Bill , i think it was you i spoke to this morning and we really enjoyed it m8 as you can see by my report, only hope it encourages more anglers to support your fishery. Yes its a long way and with the winter looming the roads from us to you become a bit dodgy so this will prob be the last time this year BUT will def be marking my calendar for early next year for a few trips I like the thought of WATCH too but am i correct in saying you need an outboard Anyway thats for another day Thanks for your reply m8, GREAT GREAT FISH

Hi Wileybugger I was there Saturday too witnessed more than one guy squeezing into the corner, i was fishing at the bend. I started in the corner but decided to move because I knew this was going to happen. Tossers like the one you saw I can do without. I knew I would say something so moved I just want a relaxing day out. My mate was fishing there in the morning he was catching fish I then watched one guy run round to squeeze into the corner then started casting over his line.
Rant over
Have to agree about quality of fish though superb I've had a 3lbers take me well into the backing. Lucky I stay nearby
