I fished Seighford lakes on Saturday for £15. Full days sport (1 fish + C & R), not 1 fish under 3lb and 4 over 5lb (biggest 6lb 4oz). Also saw two doubles caught. How on earth is the £60 justifiable? I know i've said it before but i'm still yet to hear a reasonable argument?

I'll try!
Going purely on weight of fish, if you were extremely unlucky and caught 5 pound fish (i didn't see any) then your limit bag would be 20lb of fresh trout, or £3/lb. That to me doesn't seem too bad. Have a good day and get a 5lb fish, and others of 6, a brown of10lb and a 15lb rainbow and you;ve actually cost the fishery money.
Now, if you're to add the day's entertainment, the cost of hiring a fishery manager, the cost of dead/diseased fish, the ball ache from disgruntled anglers, the poached fish, the cost of the farm, the costs of rearing the trout etc etc etc, then £60 for a full day's fishing seems ridiculously cheap.
If i may compare it with rugby, a game at twickenham lasts 80 mins, costs £90, plus the cost of any food/drink, plus the cost of the debenture (otherwise you'll never see a ticket) etc.
Off shooting? great, try £30 per bird, £500-750 per day is not difficult.
Yes £60 stings when i pay it, but christ i hope it stays as it is.
