Default Pitsford bank 13th March

Wind died nicely to 3-5mph westerly to North Westerly.Fished #12 Diawl Bach on dropper six feet from Pitsford Pea on point, on a floater, with a slow figure of eight retrieve..Started at the pines and had two fish 2-3lb immediately, then decided to check out what was happening elsewhere. The gravels and Stone farm were busy (obviously hammering the stockies) so we drove over to the sailing club bank where I had a single arm-wrenching take, but nothing else.
Returned to the Pines where other anglers were bagging up, a single boat must have had twenty plus fish.Surprisingly I didn't see any other boats out.I had four more fish to just under five pounds- there are lots of good overwintered fish coming out at the Pines. The DB took four fish to the pea's two.Stilton looked busy so they must have been bagging up there too, but the Gorse only had a solitary angler.
Gads.

Default Pitsford Pea.

Folks, have seen the 'pitsford pea' mentioned in a couple of posts recently. Can someone outline the tying for this please?
Cheers,
Mark

Without wanting to incur the wrath of Pitsford rods it is basically a black marabou tadpole with a fluoro green tag/head. I weight mine with copper wire as I prefer to fish a floater if the wind permits.

I visited Pitsford a couple of years ago and was put off by a complete Oaf who was in charge of the boats on the Jetty.

Seemed to go out of his way to be rude and cocky...is he still there?

Yes, unfortunately. All the other wardens/shop staff are really helpful though, so don't be put off.
