Default Lake disdrict/cumbria

Hi Folks, I'm off to the lakes next week for a few days and was just wondering what Stilwaters are open. I'm thinking about fishing Ghyl Head one day and looking for another venue to fishlater in the week. Does anyone know if Watenlath is open?

Also I'm staying on Basenthwaite and was wondering if anyone has any info on Pike fishing on the lake? where to get permits etc.

Cheers for the help

Bassenthwaite is pants at the minute mate, I wouldn't bother.

Trout fishing or Pike fishing I'd say Esthwaite, where you can do both, just take plenty of money

Bessy Beck is nice and simple this time of year for trout fishing.

Longlands lake at Cleator is a cracking wee water.

Or if you just want some fun with loads of fish in a small space, fishable in any weather, try Gilcrux springs.

If you are ever here between end of March and end of Oct, Cogra Moss near Lamplugh is IMO the best fishery in the lake district. May, June, July are amazing months on this gorgeous water.
