Question Local info ...

Hi folks,

I'm fishing Draycote on Wednesday (26th March) and was wondering if any of you chaps / chapesses have been in recent days / weeks and good give any pointers. I only get down once or twice a season so info gratefully received (have seen the rutlandgillies.co.uk reports).

Cheers in advance

Ben

My mate fished the other day and is going again on Thursday - he normally has a boat and drifts deep with lures and Di7 after the bigger overwintered fish but he had a fair few stockies and one good overwintered torpedo. Stockies are still holding close to banks, the usual spots, lures or buzzers as per your choice. Farnbrough spit/dam area a good bet just now I believe, if you're off the bank. If thats no good you can just work you way into Toft. If nothing doing round that side, get back in car and head round other side to Rainbow corner. Wished I could get there myself but work getting in the way! You could always give Keith (manager) a bell - very helpful chap - can't recall number but it'll be on website

Thanks JeffR - the forecast looks half decent tomorrow (for a change ) so I might give the buzzers a swim. There's 6 of us going so we'll probably head for Toft to start and see what happens. Will let people know how we get on. Thanks again
Benny
