I have a rare mid-week day off and am thinking about heading to Lechlade on Thursday. Not been there before. Has anyone been in the last week or so who can provide advice on how it is fishing? Does one need to book ahead at Lechlade? I prefer to fish immitatively rather than flashy lures: is Lechlade a better choice for this approach than Bushyleaze?

Any help or thoughts appreciated.

Having fished Bushy at the weekend for our club charity comp, my advice would be to leave visiting either Bushy or Lechlade until after the first frosts. Neither are fishing well at the moment. They need a spell of cold weather and some much needed rain to come back to their brilliant best.
