Hi Luke

Fast sinker with a small black booby on a five foot leader has worked very well for me and it does help if you can get a good line out (30-40 yards) although you will still catch fish closer in. The levels are a bit low at the moment (but are rising) so casting can be a bit tricky. The boats are fishing their socks off with large fish being caught as well but I haven't tried from a boat yet. The trick at Farmoor is if your not catching move and try another spot until you do. Would recommend fishing anywhere near the boat jetty as this area has worked well for me.

Hope this helps.
