Royston,

Many thanks for the info. Will probably be down to Oxford in June for my annual visit to the daughter and son - in -law. Will happily be fishing Farmoor then. Again , thanks for the info.

Let me know how you get on Vinnie, would be interesting to hear the review! And Vinnie, did you get any feedback from the Bewl BFF AGM held on Sunday? I'm interested to hear any info as its being muted that C&R might be introduced.

Cheers

PS. Just read your blog, how's the ear!!!!!!!!! :-)

Thumbs up

Hiya Howard,

Unfortuntely couldn't make the AGM, but will hopefully try and fish the members boat competition, and the bank competition is on the same day as Farmoor 1 starts so have to blow that out as well.

Would be good if it did go C&R, should lead to cheaper fishing and more fish left in the water to catch.

Nice fly by the way, looks like it would do the buisness on Grayling, looks like your an accomplished fly tyer now!!

The ear's ok now, cheers! I've had one go all the way through my neck before and had a mate pull it out, but this felt worse cos my ear lobe is thick and the point went all the way through it, so there was a lot of meat to pull the barb through!

@haines_malcolm

I'm sure the Rangers will be more than helpful if you tell them you never had a boat out, more than likely come up and give you a demonstration.

You get a life jacket and annoying beeper that lets them know if you have gone for a swim! The boats are easy to handle and will take a few mins to get the hang of it.

If its too windy then they dont allow them out, and if you go in the week there will be hardly any yauchters to interfere with your drifts.

How is Farmoor fishing at the moment Royston? Looking to visit next weekend. Are they still on Coral Boobies on the bottom or have they started to move up a bit in the milder conditions this last week or so?
