Default Lenches Lakes (nr Stratford/Evesham)

Hi All,

Fished Lenches today with a pal. Weather was challenging - squally cold wind, bright sunshine at times.

Four fish between us to 2.5lbs.

All on Montana type flies. If you can stand it pays to fish into the wind. All the fish (not just ours) came fishing into the wind.

Great pies for lunch too and the tea wasn't half bad.

Will definitely return.

Jon

Fished there for the first time on Friday afternoon.Very similar conditions as you described ,but hardly any sun.
I hadn't done any fishing for a few years ,but eventually got into the swing of it.
I took two lovely conditioned hard fighting rainbows 2 1/4 & 2 1/2 lbs.
I used a sinktip line at the far end of the top lake with a red & black buzzer casting into the wind.
Will definitely go again, also thinking of trying Bransford if anyone's got any info ,I'd appreciate it please.

Bransford is the place to go if you need a confidence booster. Pretty little place...three small ponds, 2 C&K, 1 C&R.

It's the place I take my Grandchildren who are keen but at the age where you need a steady catch rate to maintain the level of interest.

Ideal for you if you need to polish up your skills.
