Default Mill of Strachan

Does anyone know about the fishing here? As far as I can gather it's mainly a horse-riding centre near Banchory but it also offers trout fishing.

Reason I ask, I've had a day's fishing there tentatively arranged by a non-angling contact in that part of the country. Thought I'd try to check it out as I know there are some good alternatives in the area.

I can only assume the lack of replies tells its own story. No one know about the fishing here then?

Hi Coaster

I've fished one of the lochs devoted to fly only but it's a long time ago. It was only small about 4 acres and well stocked as I remember. It's a very nice spot and it had lots of wild life. It's a difficult choice if you have larger and better alternatives. If you hadn't I'd say fish it and you probably wouldn't be disappointed. I hope some information is better than none.

try www.fishingthefly.co.uk- the site is all about Aberdeenshire waters and there is a forum linked to it, where you could probably get some more pertinent answers.
