Default Santhill

Does anybody have any details on Santhill in the Cotswolds.

I beleive it does not open until new season in March but I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has fished there in the last 12 months. What is the bank fishing like? Do you need to wade or is it deep close in?

What are the prices like?

They have a website www.santhill.co.uk - or rather they must own the domain but there is 'no' site there.

That's a shame - I never got to fish there...
I here it was good in its day but someone on another forum commented it was going downhill last year.

Oh well - Watermark, Bushy and Farmoor it is this season then....

BTW went to Broad Oak the weekend near Upton. Lovely pretty place but needs to develop a wee bit as there it little vegetation in and arround the water (appart from weed). Had one fish that fought well - it was full of snails!

Earlier last year I paid a return visit to Santhill. and was looking forward to it immensley as a previous trip there in 06 was a considerable success for both myself and the guy I went with. However last year it proved very dissapointing. I did a review on this forum if one cares to look. I must admit to not being surpised to hear its closed.

I fished Santhill a couple of times when I lived near Gloucester. Nice place, but very, very expensive in view. That said, I'm sorry to hear of its closure, but not really surprised.
