Default New morton fishery

Hi all , heres a wee update about my day there yesterday. Turned up and could see through the trees that there was a bit of a wave and cos i didnt want to wake the wee yin the drogue was still at home Motored round to the dam wall and as i thought the drifts were too quik with the wind as strong so had to anchor down at each spot. Had a cracker around 3lbs 2nd cast and a few bumps and follows after that without any real hook ups. With the wind dropping and the rain stopping things were looking up and so they did with another 2 to the boat drifting to a HUMUNGUS and DAMSEL. Ther were loads of fish showing but were beggining to take short under the pressure of the 10 boats out and i would estimate 20 odd bank anglers all thrashing away Decided to go the natural way with DRIES and again the fish were more obliging with another 4 to the boat. I seen 2 doubles being landed and ther was an outing of about 10 lads fishing the bank and were into fish regular standing virtually next to each other Hoppers i think they said but that was to throw me i thinkReally njoyed it and nice to see it busy, the staff were gr8 ,thanks again for your help JOHN,

Hi all, just gettin round to letting you know of my 3rd trip to fish MORTON on SATURDAY and it didnt dissapoint BRIGHT and WINDY didnt auger well for me and my UNCLE VIC but a sink tip and non-stretch intermediate apiece saw us nail a few early on with us both being snapped within the first 10 mins PEARLY CORMORANT was my downfall and my auld uncle not standing up when an eastimated 6lber took of round the boat and nearly strangled him worth the trip just to see it Seriously tho the wind dropped and with a wee bit cloud cover on went the foam daddies and the action was hectic but not too productive with more on and offs than solid hook ups. Went thru the box with buzzers and rubber legs and klinks and had offers on all but again a little tentative today Out of the blue a EUREKA moment , RED HEADED DAMSEL and off we went again , they were absolutely hammering it. Finished with 14, uncle VIC had 4 but surely must have had more offers than me, just wouldnt stick for the auld yin. All in all a gr8 day and thanks to the 2 MICKS who were so helpful. I know we are running out of good days but if i were you id give it a go. Im from DUMFRIESSHIRE and still dont mind the journey for a wee go off the boat, something different, really enjoyable
