Had a challenging and very rewarding day at the Lake today fishing for very spooky fish that were feeding on tiny food items amongst the leaf litter trails.There were none of the heather flies about that we had hoped for but since the fish will have been used to seeing them recently,I decided to use a H/fly imitation.The stuff they were taking would have required a size 28 anyway... Luckilly for us the fish would accept these as long as we could place it accurately enough into their paths.

I have to say, the quality of the Lake fish is excellent at the moment.Top drawer.

Looking forward to a couple of days there soon once i get home and its nice to see some stonking trout still making an appearance

They were all that sort of stamp Wullie.Most of them came during a magical two hour spell in a calm triangle behind Inchtalla,the rest of them from the shallow corner up in Sandy Bay.They wouldny stand any nonsense though ,bad casts,leader floating....its a miracle I caught any...

Had to go up to B110s as they were straightening my usual B100s.
