This is on the Lafarge estate near Welwyn Garden City.

Anyone fished it ? I am taking a beginner out their next weekend who is a member of the syndicate but does not seem to catch much. Sounds like a typical damsel, pheasant tail, etc sort of water, about 15 acres.

Any experience of it would be helpful.

Actually not a bad spot although the fish are, on average, a bit small.

After much fiddling around with damsels, DB's, crunchers and sundry other nymphs, we found that a simply black seals fur dry did the trick

The Lady Hughes Angling Syndicate lake on the LaFarge estate Nr Hertford has just opened up again for the 2012 new season. It fished well last year although there was some weed build up towards the end of the season but was kept down by enthusistic club members.
