Default Linlithgow Loch Reports

I'm looking forward to my FIRST EVER visit to Linlithgow Loch on Sunday.

Just checked their website but reports have not been updated since 30th July.
Have any forum members been out lately??
if so any info on areas and flies would be greatly appreciated.

After checkin the weather forecast- it Looks like the waterproofs will be gettin another good test AGAIN

Many thanks and Tight Lines

Sandy

Thanks luthgifisher,

Just had a look on the map on their website I see what you mean about the hole...it looks like quite a small area of the loch. how big an area does it cover ?(no scale on their fishery map) I bet it gets a bit crowded if every one lookin to drop a fly in the hole ... lol ...

What sort o flies to try?? brown buzzers + ???

Regards Sandy

Look out for a large detailed map of the loch in the boathouse, try and anchor around the edges of the hole (wind dependant), use as long a leader as you are confident with & try and find the depth the fish are at. If you have a spare anchor take it with you!

Good luck........

Sorry for the late reply had a busy evening last nite when I for home.
The fishing was gd yesterday I got My six on a few different patterns all fished on a di7 in on around the hole, bunny leaches boobys cormorants all worked for me Even managed a big pike on a booby, thought I'd hooked the bottom till it moved was praying for it to be a big brown or rainbow until I finally managed to get it's head up! Struggled to fit it in the net, no idea of exact weight but defiantly a double. Have got a few pictures but there ****, probably due to me shaking like a pooping dog, iPhone camera being poor and the fact I wanted the pike released ASAP. Hope this helps anyone who's heading out.
