Default Fishing in Manchester

I will be based in Manchester in about 10 days time, and I am looking for a stillwater that I can fish within about an hours drive, but go-fish is lacking somewhat! Any recommendations? Many Thanks, Tom.

Above the golden gravel,

And draw them all along, and flow
To join the brimming river,
For men may come and men may go,
But I go on for ever.

Pennine Fishery is good fun. Near Rochdale about 15 mins from manchester. In the same area is Clegg hall - haven't tried that one but someone on here recomended the place a few months ago.

brilliant. Checked those waters out they all look great, very premier! Curleys seems more in my price range to be able to keep a couple so I'll give that a go.
