maximus is on a distinguished road
Default LlynGwyn 29th Dec

A recent stocking has ment that fish are moving about well, I spent a few hours on the lake on a boat for the first time the other day. The weather put pay to us stopping out for more than an hour or so. It was hailing and raining but still we got plenty of follows.

Paul Davis my boat partner managed to bag up (AGAIN) but I got my way when a fish went for his fly and missed then took my Cats Whisker instead. A rainbow of 2.25lb graced the net!

Plenty of fish were taken on an orange fritz on the 29th Dec but also montana, cats whisker and Damsel will score.

Incidently, Paul was telling me that since breaking up from where he works for his christmas break he has caught 36 trout, no easy task and great fishing if you ask me. (he only started fly fishing in june, same time as myself) his biggest is 7lb something.

The bank by the boat-house is a hotspot at the moment. But still in front of the island is doing well if you take the boat option.
