Manor Farm
I went to Manor Farn for the first time this year today and it was very, very busy.
The fishing was actually ludicrously easy once you sussed it which took me about 2 hours during which I only had a couple of takes but once I worked out that the fish were 3-6ft from the bank it was like shelling peas. I ended up with fifteen all caught casting along rushes and twiddling a small cat's whisker and a DB back, with a couple to an Apps. At one point I had eight in about ten casts and lost two.
The trick was to keep moving around till you found a pocket of fish, but it was so busy it was hard to do that. If you found some fish, you would get a pull first cast. If you didn't catch in five minutes in a swim, you might as well move on.
A lot of people fished the bung with red buzzers really close to the rushes but I found this less effective than the small lure.
