Default Lockwood Beck Catch Return Sunday 24th to Saturday 30th July

August Boat Promotion.
From the 1st to 31st August.
Book one boat and two full day permits and get the boat FREE.
Book one boat and two evening permits and get the boat FREE.
All BOATS MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE.

150 Anglers have caught 322 Rainbows to 6lb. 8oz and 7 Browns to 4lb 2oz

Rod Average 2.2

112 Rainbows were kept at an average weight of 2lb 3oz

Stocked on Friday 29th with 140 Rainbows from 1lb 12oz to 8lb.

The week has started as the last finished with anglers hooking and losing a lot more fish than they were landing, we have a lot of fish feeding in or close to the surface.

Fly’s to try Dries: - CDC Shuttle Cocks Size 12 to 18, Shipman’s size 12 and 14, Klinkhamers, Sedge, and at times size 18 to 20 black midges. Nymphs: - Damsels, GRHE, PTN, Buzzers and Diawl Bachs. Lures: - Booby, Blobs, and Dawson’s Nomad.

Sunday John McGarrell only fished for 2hours and caught six rainbows from the top of the moorside on Damsels. Colin Wilson had five rainbows from the boat jetty. Junior Anglers Ian Ferguson and Ryan Vasey both had three and lost more off from the moorside Ian’s best fish was 5lb. Boats only three out and all three had six fish. Keith Richards caught six on CDC Shipman’s and Klinkhamers. Les and Ben Davison had six between them to 5lb 9oz and Wheelyboat anglers Paul Richardson and Paul Casey caught six between them to 3lb. Monday Ian Morrison caught seven on dries from the moorside. Keith Richards had six from a boat on CDC Shipman’s. Tuesday Garry Coverdale caught eight fishing from the overflow end of the dam on CDC Shipman’s. Mrs Olive Murray and Keith Richards caught nine rainbows between them from a boat. Wednesday D Miller caught five from the moorside and John McGarrell had five and lost six off in two hours john fished small Foam Beetles and caught on the dam, boat jetty and high bank. Thursday only two of the ten season permits failed to catch and even they had hooked and lost fish. Mrs Olive Murray caught nine rainbows to 5lb on Foam Beetles and Keith Richards had seven on the same pattern both were fishing from a boat. Friday Derrick Grabham caught fifteen rainbows to 4lb and Terry Sharp had nine, they both fished from the top moorside block into the top bay and caught their fish on Zonkers and Cats whisker catching twelve before we had stocked. Jason Nunn caught nine rainbows from the dam on dries. Les Spedding had eight three from the jetty and five from the point on dries and Ian Morrison caught six rainbows from the moorside. Boats John McGarrell and Steve Trafford both caught eight. John caught three on Foam Beetle and five on Cats Whisker. Saturday Jason Nunn caught seven rainbows on dry’s and nymphs
from the dam and moorside. Colin Brown had six from the point and Graham Hill five from the overflow end of the dam.

Lockwood opens at 8am and closes at 9.45pm
