Default Hazel Copse

Hi
Has anyone fished Hazel Copse recently? If so how is it fishing and what flies are getting results? Also do they still stock salmon?
Daniel

I went there earlier today.
Wilf no longer stocks Salmon. The lakes have rainbows & browns in at between 2 & 7 lbs.
He doesn't want to stock the bigger fish until it gets cooler.
I got there at 07:30 but if you look at this shot, at the green bush on the island, you'll see an eager fisherman beat me to it!

Had no luck on the nymphs or even the Hacklepoint Coachman, so I had to resort to cheating tactics.
3 on the Ace of Spades & home before 14:00.

1st a 2-pounder that took on the drop & proceeded to charge off across the lake with my fly!
2nd up a lean 3 1/2 pounder that took at the end of the figure-of-eight retrieve on my intermediate line & lastly a 2 1/2 pounder that fell the same way.
I'm not that keen on c & r and with the weather a bit on the blowy side, called it quits.
Good little fishery though & the fish all fought very well.
