Thumbs up Farmoor

Well here we are, 2 hrs into the Christmas charity match today 9th December. One of our competitors already has 8 fish so he looks on target for a time bonus . Some nice fish came out yesterday to those who were having a practice, the heaviest of which was 5lbs. The rod average for the week has been just under 3 with action on the surface with fry and throughout all levels. The water is still low due to the flooding in the Thames but it hasn't adversely affected the fishing. We didn't get the all the bad weather they promised us and those who decided to brave the elements have been rewarded with a breakfast, a good days fishing, evening buffet, bar and a prize for every competitor. The proceeds are going towards a wheelie boat so thanks to all those who donated prizes and supported us on the day.

Hi Royston- why are the water levels low in the reservoir if the Thames is flooding, surely you would be pumping like mad?
Hope to get up to fish with you this week,
gads

Hi gads

We are unable to pump in at the rate we would like due to the flooding in the Thames. With flooding comes a high percentage of silt and chemical run-off from the land, neither of which are welcome in the res. A simple rule of thumb is 'Normal river flows = full res. High river flows = low res.'

I hope that explains things

See you soon

Royston

Royston, is there anywhere that we can see more details of the 2008 ticketing and pricing structure and the plans for Farmoor 1 ?
