Whats the farm fishing like at the moment ? Or is there anywhere else worth a morning visit round abouts ?

Another place not too far away that is worth trying is Barn Elms fishery:

Some times a bit easy, but a lovely spot and well maintained with very healthy fish, though I've not been there since September either. And watch out, they are closed on Wednesdays.

Cheers been to barn elms a few times but like you said can be a bit easy for my liking so il get up early unheard of for me working nights and being a student and get down to the farm .
