Hi all, myself and a mate from Cornwall were going to fish Bushyleaze in a BFTA comp this Saturday, but at short notice it has been cancelled. We have decided we would still like to fish somewhere this weekend and are possibly heading to Cound fishery.

Having never fished there and due to the distance we will be traveling any up to date information on how it is fishing and which flies work best would be very much appreciated.

Also is it worth the 300'ish mile trip? It looks great, but since I have only found information on their own website it is hard to tell.

Also if there are any other BFTA members on here at a loose end now and fancy joining us for a day let me know. Provided we get some good reports we will be fishing there Friday and Saturday.

Hi Vaughan.
Used to fish Cound every weekend a few years ago. Great water for the tube just the right size. Fished very well with most things from buzzers to lures. Good fish to doubles and plenty of 3,4,5,lbs.

But a few years ago they decided to put a large amount of 3/4 lb in, surplus from the fish farm they own and it killed it. People where catching 40plus of the things, but it put the resident stock down and it has struggled to recover. At the moment they are stocking with some big fish but IMO it"s not the water it once was. Would I travel 300mls to fish it, "hard call"
