For a change i decided to fish Eyebrook and give Rutland a miss for once
Arrived at mid-day to a bright warm day with a very light breeze and fish seemed to be rising all over the main basin at the dam

with quite few fry bashing closer to the shore.
I fished a drift on the far shore of the dam from the lodge, sorry i don't know the names of the areas on Eyebrook!!

and was into a fish with almost every cast!!
I kept the first 4 rainbows,3lb4oz,2lb8oz,2lb 4oz and 1lb 7oz.

and returned another 9

all caught on a fast glass with a sparkler boobie on the point, black Diawl Bach on the middle dropper and a red halo Diawl Bach on the top dropper.
Everyone else seemed to be fishing either minkies or cats whiskers on a slow intermediate and catching steadily.
Moved into the main basin later on and got a treble hook up!!!

My first ever

although the fish in question were not Rainbows but perch

the one on the boobie was cracker of about 2lb

bringing them in i noticed at least 10 others all following, spectacular sight to see
All in all a great day out.
Might return again in a few weeks
