Fished the Airflo final there last week and had ten - it's fishing very well.

Three hotspots really - Left hand corner of the dam, area from the pylons to the far end in the East arm, and either side of the boat dock.

Methods were either nymphing with daddies, hoppers and DB's or the bung with buzzers at 2ft and 4ft. If he's just stocked it you catch on blobs.

The day before the match four pleasure anglers returned 129 fish between them

Thumbs up

Had a great day at Elinor. Caught three and lost three or four others. Not a day for the purist, however, two caught on a black and silver cat's whisker and one on an orange blob (thanks for the tip Charlie). All of mine were caught to the right of the boating area, just beyond where the bank juts out. There was a period of about 20 minutes when the fish went crazy and started attacking anything, then all was quiet for the rest of the day. I got my fish in those 20 minutes.

There was one chap there fishing from the bank, white hair and wearing a light beige cap. I don't know what was on the end of his line but he seemed to get a fish on nearly every cast. He was fishing from the aforementioned "jut".

The weather was fantastic, dry, warm, blue skies. Maybe not the best weather for catching fish but really pleasant none-the-less.
