Default Busheyleaze advice, please

...fishing a match there on Sunday, a Royal Naval cup match no less - hard fought, no quarter given, cut-throat and dog-eat-dog. Only one problem - I've never fished there. Can someone at least point me in the right direction regarding what's working? Oh, what I wouldn't give to raise that cup aloft after crushing the opposition...well, a couple of fish at least would do just fine.

Cheers in advance,

Haven't fished Bushey for a few weeks but I usually adopt the same tactics each time and they do seem to work OK.

I think it is more of a "natural" water than lures so I use a largish Damsel with plenty of tail fished steadily..netiher fast nor slow.

When you get there, stand with your back to the Lodge and turn to your right. Walk down that way and you will come to a bay which again goes off to the right. If you can get right on the "bend" that's a good spot and the bay itself usually has a lot of good fish in it. If that's not working then go up to the other end.

Works for me but as the man once said "that was last week zur",

Tight loines..it's a really nice fishery.
