Ward is on a distinguished road
Cool Farmoor Reservoir

Having retired to Cornwall two years ago I had the great pleasure of fishing F.R. on 17.10.07. A truly superb trout stillwater in every respect. One of the bailiffs Mr Maxwell gave me every help and first class advice and guidance. On his advic I fished the North end of the West shoreline. Weather clear blue sky/ moderate North Westerly. Fished floating line/15ft Leader - Emergers and Nymphs from morning to early afternoon. Had takes, one hooked but fish threw hook. Then changed to Intermediate sinking line and 9ft Leader fishing
one of my Cornish river wild brown wet winged flies the COACHMAN. Had a wonderful session taking 4 cracking fighting fit Rainbows, one of which was a superb 23inches in length with a tail like a shovel. To Mr Maxwell and other staff members my thanks for a truly wonderful day of Reservoir Bank fly fishing.
