Default Any advice for Avon Springs?

I am fishing Avon Springs for the first time next week. Can anyone offer advice for a first timer?

Thanks

Steve

Don't neglect the top lake for some good stalking opportunities. Around the further island should contain fish.

Had a very enjoyable day at Avon Springs yesterday. We were advised to fish the small top lake which apparently stays cooler in the hot conditions. I had 4 fish between 5 & 6lb that were in excellent condition although they didn't really put up much of a scrap. All were individually targeted and were caught on goldhead damsels. Spooning showed that their last meal must have been taken in the stewponds! The fishing was challenging but not impossible and we caught our last fish at about 4.00 p.m.

Nobody fished the bigger lake which looked lifeless - several trout corpses spotted which was a bit off putting.
