Default Farmoor 11.10.07

Hazy but bright when I arrived at 2pm with a gentle westerly breeze. Over the course of the afternoon it became cloudier.

Fished the south-east bend. A few fish showed every now and then. As they have been taking small buzzers I fished some imitations washing line style, conventionally and under an indicator. No joy. Tried various lures on an intermediate. Lost one on a White Zonzer and had a tug on a White Humungus casting at rises.

Last thing I switched to emergers and took a beautifully conditioned rainbow somewhat under 2lbs. Until I netted it I was convinced it must be at least 3lbs. Spooning revealed a mixture of green daphnia and small, dark midge pupae. Didn't see anyone else catch from the bank but some of the boats seemed to be taking a few.
