I am thinking of paying my first visit to Blenhein this week end and just wondered if anyone has feed back on how its fishing currently.

Hi Euanf, Its good that you are looking to fish Blenheim. Like all the lakes and rivers around here we are in need of water so the fishing here at Blenhiem is tough at the moment after some very good returns. Saying that one or to fish are coming out including a 1 lb brown the other day. So i will leave it up to you . I would possibly go for a half day. Bailiff

I'd agree with 'tough'. I only had two takes from trout all day (last Sunday) - and lost both

Beautiful setting, although the wind was fierce. Pretty good visibility, plenty of large bream cruising around but the trout seemed to be in hiding - can't say I blame them. I did catch my first pike, however, on a small GH damsel

Should I have knocked it one the head - none too sure of the etiquette in such cases?
