Fished it years ago. Was never a very productive water, used to get the odd salmon. It's a deep loch, supposed to have artic char. I've not heard of anyone catching one. If you give the Coylett hotel a call, they might be able to give you more info, or try Calling Purdys sports shop in Dunoon.

Loch eck is a dour loch, brownies are few and far between usually small.
I wouldn't recommend it for fly fishing.
locals usually fish for sea trout or the occasional salmon that run through it,
the way to fish it is by spinning or bubble float and worm. at the very top end where the river Cur runs into it.
however the local pubs are good!!
