Hambo is on a distinguished road
Default Bewl update

Had another short afternoon session at Bewl, this time with Isabel.
A lot of fish showing on the surface and quite a few jumping.

The place was crowded with boats due to a competition, but most were huddled by the dam or the cages.

We fished Hook Straight and I was annoyed by other boats steaming at full speed in front of us on at least 3 occasions.

I had two fish and the hook pulled out of another. Takes were on a cormorant and a damsel; one fished slow and the other on a fairly fast strip retrieve.
Isabel had a fish on the hang, but that also pulled out. She would have caught more if she had not decided to doze off.

Looking at the catch returns, there were more bags of 8 than anything else.

I hoped to see some fry bashing, but it all went quiet after 5.30pm.
One of the fish I caught had some well digested fry in it, but nothing recent.
I'm beginning to wonder if I should be trying the mornings for the fry feeders.
