It seems that the changes instigated this year are paying dividends in the management of this water- It is now run by and bailiffed by the swinton hatchery guys so if they dont sell all the fish they produce in a week guess what happens-Clue -678 fish banked LAST WEEK
Now the punchline MY DAD BLANKED TODAY
Seriously! I bagged up(and lots others too) on a difficult day at start and end with shirtsleeves and mirror water to start and low cloud ,temp drop and mizzle to end day.
Seems that the average stockie is 2.5lbplus as had fish in the 2.75 class and biggest went nudging 4lb.
The water is closed next sat for a comp but they have extended opening to 25th November and plan to continue stocking right through so that no one leaves with a bad impression of the place
