Default Farmoor II 6.10.07

Fished the second half of the afternoon into evening. It looked very promising with heavy cloud cover and the north-easterly breeze putting a nice ripple on the water.

Drove right round to the north-west corner and fished along the causeway. As advised by the ranger I started fishing Boobies along the bottom, but when a few fish began to show I switched to a floater and washing line set-up. Several fish swirled at the flies but I took only two, one on a size 14 Claret Seal Fur Buzzer, the other on a Booby Daddy. I tried emergers but, although fish rose at them , they would not take.

After that sport petered out.
