Thumbs up Walthamstow calling

Visited Walthamstow on Friday. Hadn't been up there lately. Almost for about 7/8 months.......but my word, it was fishing well that day. Reached the venue about 11 in the monring. Started fishing in NO 4 by the shade and by 7pm I had about 12 fish. All on diawl bachs and buzzers. Two even managed to straighten my hook completly and got away........but my word those fish certainly put up a good fight and was worth every seconds of it.

Mind you, I only took 2 for the pot rest were released to fight another day.

Walthamstow never fails to surprise when ever I pay her a visit and she was at her best that day.......

Pottered up late afternoon ,having been to the farmers market and done some garden work .
seemed to be a few shoals travelling fairly fast.
took a near 3lb fish on a wee black spider on the middle dropper of a cove style leader, that fish had moved water so was cast too .
Had a good wander round looking for more rising fish or fish high in the water ,a few showing way beyond casting range but nowt that i could reach .
needing to be home for dinner with the boy walked back casting as I went to any possible targets ,missed a few wee takes on the last bit of #4 before the way out .
glad to call it a day as the wind still has a chill to it .
